Faithfully capturing the spirit and heritage of American work wear, Levi’s® Vintage Clothing reproduces the fits, fabrics and details of bygone eras.

In 1975, the San Francisco Museum of Art became the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. To celebrate, SFMoMA hosted a soapbox derby, where Bay Area artists designed and raced their own soapbox cars down a winding, 800-foot sloping path.

Flashback to 1975 with pieces inspired by SFMoMA’s archival images of their artists’ soapbox derby. Expect pastels and softer tones – it’s all very California, very Bohemian and very 1970s. Our range of bottoms feature several vintage editions of our 501® Jean from as early as 1890. There’s also the 1970’s 517® Jeans, a reproduction of the Lot 517 bootcut jeans from the mid-1970s.
